Great pork chops! Fast service. Friendly, down home atmosphere. My only complaint is the fake butter. I like the real thing 😄. Also, they only take cash or check which is fine. Just go prepared.

Jasmine is awesome! The food was amazing! The food quality and prices were unmatched! I went in Saturday...they were busy but the line moved extremely fast. I was pleased!

Good food. Quick. No wait this morning! Portions are generous. Had to take half home. The service was very friendly and still efficient. Be prepared to wait sometimes. I've heard it gets really busy! I can see why. Prices are good too. $10 for eggs, biscuits, pancakes, crispy bacon, hash browns and lots of hot coffee.

The food is absolutely AMAZING! The Credle Crew definitely approves! Unfortunately I forgot to take photos PRIOR to eating but here are our to go containers (which you will need because the portions are generous). We had the catfish with grits, eggs, hushpuppies and a Belgian waffle and the sweet cream waffle with peaches, eggs, bacon, and deep fried potatoes. Delicious!

Americana diner-style food at its finest! Great service, great classic American Breakfast food, and a warm homey atmosphere to top it off. We had the Pecan Waffles, Biscuits and Gravy meal and two extra sausage links. It was all exactly what we were looking for on a Saturday morning! It is CASH ONLY!!!

First time back since I was a kid and I was not disappointed. The food was great and the steak was cooked to perfection! 10/10 will go again and 1000% recommended to anyone looking for a good breakfast place

Tommy's Restaurant was awesome. The food was great and filling. Our waitress was very pleasant, on point, and remembered us from our last visit. Although, very crowded, the hostess was the best at keeping everything in order and keeping those in line updated with how long the wait would be. Very nice experience. Definitely, will return when in town.

Awesome, you best bet is to get there early because the line stretches into the Parking lot. however it's well worth the wait.

Tommy's has always had good quality food and relatively inexpensive for the amount of food. Our waitress was very nice and was appropriately attentive to us. It was quite busy, so it took about 15-20 minutes to get in the door but once we were we were sat quickly. (If it wasn't already known, they don't take names and call you. You stand in line at the door and they seat in order.)

Great old time breakfast spot. The service is excellent. They always have a line out the door. But surprisingly they move that line in and out quick. The food is really good like your country grandmother uses to make. The portions are huge. The prices are good but bring cash. They take checks not cards.

Love this place. The food is delicious, just like if you made it at home. The portions are a great size as well.

Tommy's is a good old fashioned breakfast dinner that is a staple in the community.. the food is reasonably priced and the service is quick. Tight seating, get there early or be prepared too wait. ( Lines move quickly). Cash only! Recommend!

The breakfast is unbeatable! Absolutely loved it! It’s been years since I’ve been able to go and I STILL think about it! That’s how you know it’s delicious! Definitely recommend you get a full breakfast because you’ll want to taste everything ;)!

The food is consistently delicious! Well priced with generous portion sizes. The staff is always friendly! Just make sure to time your visit appropriately for breakfast or you'll end up in a line that winds through the parking lot (but the wait is absolutely worth it). This establishment also only takes cash, so be sure to have some on hand. There is an ATM on the premises in the event that you forget.

The staff was extremely friendly and professional. The food was prepared quickly. I think the prices were reasonable and portions more than generous. However, I found the food lacking in flavor. Since the restaurant had minimal open tables, I have to believe that the food usually more appetizing. If I returned, I think I would try a signature dish. I was surprised at the end of the meal that they only accepted cash or check.

Our waitress was kind. They kept my coffee filled and we're attentive even when they were super busy! This place is cash only. I'm glad my husband (who grew up in Newport News) remembered before we went. The food was great. They were training a new cook and told us that the wait could be a little longer but I didn't really notice a delay. It's understandable why this place is busy: delicious food and great service!

Tommy restaurant was sooo good! It's a "mom & pop" type of restaurant, and if any of you know about mom & pop they're usually good as hell, and it was just that! My cousin is 3 for 3 on recommending good places to eat while in Virginia. 🤗

Great food! Attentive service! Even when super busy the wait staff shines! I can see why police, fire and military folks flock here! This breakfast and lunch spot shines. Remember it's CASH ONLY!!!

This is the BEST restaurant I’ve been to in Hampton and I’ve been living here for a year. The food, atmosphere, and staff were absolutely fantastic. I have never left a review for a restaurant until now because of how impressed I am. And huge shout out to Bonnie Lunne our waitress, she treated us right.

Tried this place for the first time today, and i highly recommend everyone do the same!!! I almost didn't stay because there was a waiting line out the door but I'm so very glad I did! Excellent waitress, awesome atmosphere, wondeful food, and we got it fast too!!! I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place!!!

The place is a little small but that is probably one of the reasons folks like it, but more than the size the food was good, the wait was rather long, folks lined up out the door, so it may be better to order take out on some days, but the staff is friendly and hard working, and the service was very fast. Definitely recommend this spot for breakfast as the prices are also great

Very busy. They only accept cash which is an inconvenience. Was forced to go to ATM and was charged fees. But overall the food was great.

Breakfast or lunch, count on good service and great food with big portions. Ask for specials if you didn't check out the board. This place is always packed and don't forget cash they do not take cards!

Good local eatery! Line moves fast and the waitresses are always friendly and helpful. Family owned and operated, with a family atmosphere inside. Food is always hot and tasty! Check it out and don't be put off by the long line, it really moves! Lol

Tommy's restaurant is a must go on your to-do list! There may be a line when you arrive however it moves quickly. You are greeted at the door with a smile and a hello. Once seated your friendly waitress will have fresh coffee ready in hand. The menu seems endless which they're known for the catfish breakfast and their pan fried half chicken & freshly made waffles. The quantity and quality are equally matched.Friendly family atmosphere that's refreshing where you can just talk with your loved one and enjoy some delicious food. Bring cash at Tommy's that's the only type payment accepted.

The food is great here. It was very crowded. We were in town for a jazz concert and found out that this was a place with a lot of history and good food. Loved it

Best food thus long lines during peak times, worth the wait for sure. Fast service once you get a table great service. Great country style cooking with very decent prices.

Just love Tommy's - the staff are always so friendly and keep your cups filled. The food is fresh and fast and very tasty. My fave is the Tommy's breakfast combo - it's a great price and so much FOOD!
